DIRECT INTEGRATED INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING PLUS

By computer calculating the optimal location of the cable routing inside the frame in order to improve gear changing and make braking more efficient. Additionally, by integrating the SHIMANO DI2 & SRAM ETSP system, DARE provides a dedicated DI2 routing cables package to be placed within the frame tubes smoothly and aesthetically, and this will not increase any extra hole or wire on the frame. In comparison with MR1, MR1s can save 10g weight in cable routing.

MININUM WEIGHT MAXIMUM INTENSITY

Minimization of weight equals maximization of intensity. Computer simulation is employed for calculation of optimal tube diameter to determine the optimal outer diameters of tubes in each part of the frame. In conjunction with the carbon fiber lamination design, maximum strength is achieved with the smallest weight. In addition, the latest carbon fiber hollow molding technology is utilized to minimize weight for obtaining the maximum stiffness to weight ratio, and maintaining very high flexibility and stiffness-torsional resistance.

ASYMMETRIC ENHANCED BB (BOTTOM BRACKET) SYSTEM

The Latest APT frame design element is embedded in DARE. Asymmetric design elements are introduced into the seat tube/lower left fork sections. Generally, right transmission will output larger pedaling force for BB to deform and deflect leftwards. Therefore, the tube diameter is enlarged in the non-transmissive lower left fork zone for the MR1 to cancel the deformation due to the right force output by outputting 100% of pedaling force to the wheels to achieve the optimal stiffness and pedaling transfer.

AGILENESS TUBE SHAPE

ATS design, the angle between the seat stay and the chain stay is reduced in order to limit deformation of the rear triangle area and improve pedaling stiffness.

Integrated Flow Guiding Head Tube

The MR1 utilizes WBI (wind blade integration) on the front fork cover, which is integrated with the frame head tube molding, so that 30% of turbulent flow is reduced while air flow and side stiffness are increased 40% simultaneously. This is achieved in conjunction with an enlarged head tube and front fork cover design to enhance the stiffness significantly. When riding in the climbing lane, it will provide 100% force feedback without deformation.

LIGHTER AND MORE POWERFUL

The frame only weighs close to 800g, and is made from superior carbon fiber, with precise computer cutting and technical integration. By reducing the weight by 20g, the MR1 is lighter and stronger, which greatly assists in uphill riding.

The carefully integrated safety design of DARE prevents chains from detachment during gear change. Such chain detachment-free design allows riders to pedal without worry. One of the DARE considerate design is integrated chain catcher. It allows riders the chain accidentally falls off.

MULTIPLY SYNTHETIC HOT-MELTED CARBON FIBER

DARE cooperates with TORAY in developing an aerospace dedicated high modulus carbon fiber M series for the lamination design of bicycles while other bicycle vendors focus on high tension carbon fiber T series. To illustrate, M series carbon fiber is characterized by large torsional resistance. In addition to providing the optimal deformation resistant frame pedaling stiffness, property of shock absorption comfort is also retained. It is similar to giant wings, which require both high stiffness and high toughness, which cannot be achieved using only high tensile force carbon yarn (T series).

DARE utilizes a multiple synthetic hot-melt carbon fiber resin impregnation system. In order to have both high intensity and high impact resistance, the MR1 employs high intensity TENSILE STRENGTH and high modulus TENSILE MODULUS carbon fiber materials for different portions. Not only high intensity T1000, but also high modulus M40J and M46J are used to achieve the optimal stiffness and torsional resistance while maintaining the lightweight characteristic.

MONOCOQUE TECHNOLOGY

DARE employs the latest computerized cutting technology to meet a lamination design which is suitable for frame specific shape, to ensure the most precise material fitting control is achieved.

DARE utilizes cutting-edge technology to replace the frame tube joint portion with hollow integral technology. The main structure portion of the dropout is also made of 100% full carbon fiber integrally to achieve light weight while balancing frame stiffness.

CORESHELL

INNER MOLD CORE SMOOTH TECHNOLOGY

Coreshell inner mold core smooth technology forms complex zones such as BB (Bottom Bracket) and head tube shapes with a special inner mold, it not only allows a smooth inner wall of the frame for tight and robust carbon yarn lamination, but also improves stiffness of frame by 15%.

BB86.5

VW86.5MM PRESSFIT BB

DARE is pioneering the use of full carbon fiber to form 86.5mm Shimano BB (Bottom Bracket) specification directly and eliminates the extra weight of traditional thread type metal BB shells. In comparison with traditional narrow BSA 68mm or BB30/PF30 BB, BB 86.5mm expands to a maximum volume, implementing the idea that the larger the BB volume, the better the stiffness. In conjunction with Coreshell inner mold core smooth technology, the most efficient output is achieved for pedaling stiffness and torque transfer. Moreover, BB 86.5mm is also compatible with an SRM powermeter, so it is not necessary to worry about any interference problems resulting from enlarging the BB.
